Suicide or homicide?

The unbelievably annoying child next door has spent the last 46 minutes (literally fourty-six minutes) screaming "Mum, I wanna lay down, mum! Mamma, I wanna lay down! Wanna lay down, Mamma!" over and over again!
His mother has even told him to go lay down, but he still keeps screaming it.
I have never wanted anything more than to go over there and beat him over the head with something very large and heavy.
What's the chance that I'll be able to lift an anvil?

ETA: He's still screaming. It's now 11pm. What the hell is a four year-old doing up at 11 o'clock.

Mission Accomplished...

This morning I put my 'organ-pan,' as [ profile] shenniefish calls it (that's organ-plan for the rest of us), into action.
I opened all the windows on that side of the house and played my own, slightly less rhythmic, version of chopsticks over and over. As soon as the kid started crying, I left the house.
I've had this ridiculously large, goofy smile on my face ever since, despite the fact that karma is already getting back at me; my tonsils are hurting like a b***h.

I think my ears are bleeding...

The people next door who have the annoying child currently have friends staying with them who have an even more annoying child.

I thought the original annoying child was annoying, but this one really takes the cake.

The original child at least had happy periods, no matter how short. This new kid sounds distressed even when he's happy.

I'm annoyed, but I'm also spiteful; I'm considering playing my obnoxiously loud organ to wake the kid up when he finally does fall asleep, just to punish the parents. Is that wrong?

They've been here for 2 days, so far. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Newfound Respect? Possibly.

The annoying 4 year old boy next door, who runs around and screams constantly and makes me want to pull my hair out, has, just now, gained the teensiest little bit of my respect.
How has he done this? you ask.
Unfortunately, he hasn't stopped running around or screaming.
But I am willing to compromise.
He's now running around screaming "Obama! Obama! Obama!"
At least the annoying kid has good taste and political sense.
